Media Events Archive
The Media Events Archive is a video collection of important historic events covered by the media on television and film in the twentieth century. Many of the videos show news coverage of media events; others are documentaries about those events. The categories that guided the selections (contests, conquests and coronations) were assigned by Dr Elihu Katz and Dr Daniel Doyan in their seminal work Media Events: The Live Broadcasting of History. These videos are available for viewing in the Annenberg Library. They are catalogued by ID Number and can be accessed through the reserve desk.
