Biographical Information: Hagiography

The most comprehensive source collection for hagiographical research is Acta sanctorum quotquot toto orbe coluntur... It has been supplemented by a periodical titled Analecta Bollandiana, an index for which is available in storage: Analecta bollandiana. Table générale des articles publiés en 80 ans: 1882-1961. Other specialized collections can provide more extensive information. Ready reference sources such as Butler's lives of the Saints and the Penguin Dictionary of Saints provide succinct biographical accounts.
Acta Sanctorum (online)

A collection of documents examining the lives of saints, this database contains the complete printed text of the Acta Sanctorum, from the edition published in sixty-eight volumes by the Societe des Bollandistes in Antwerp and Brussels.
