Philadelphia Composers: Lewis F. Bernhardt (ca. 1780-after 1820)

Lewis F. Bernhardt, pianist and composer, was one of the wave of German emigrant musicians who settled in Philadelphia in the early 19th-century. He taught in Philadelphia from 1804 to 1820 and was a member of the Musical Fund Society.
