Philadelphia Lithographers: Christian Schussele (Schuessele) (1826?-1879)

Christian Schussele was born in Alsace and studied lithography in Paris. He moved to Philadelphia around 1848 and worked there until his death in 1879. Schussele was noted for his work in chromolithography and worked principally for the firms of Peter S. Duval.
