John Frampton Watson was born around 1805 in Pennsylvania. In 1832 or 1833 he worked for the lithographer, M. E. D. Brown in Philadelphia. From 1833 to 1838 John Frampton Watson operated a firm with C. A. Watson. He continued to run a business under his own name until 1866.
