Landscapes

Mary B. Wheeler's images reveal her intensive interest in all aspects of life in South Asia, ranging from the most mundane of daily tasks to the most elaborate ritual performances. Equally moving to her were the landscapes within which people lived and traveled, and her collection is replete with lush agricultural scenes, rocky mountain landscapes, and views of the rugged seacoast. In order to make these images more accessible, we have divided them into the following easily accessible categories.
