Computing in Lippincott Library
The Lippincott Library provides several types of public computing stations:
- Wharton Lab Machines which provide the same functionality that can be found in Huntsman Hall. Use is restricted to Wharton students. Printing is available from these machines using a Wharton print account.
- Specialized Database stations such as two Bloomberg terminals, two Datastream terminals, SDC Platinum and others

- Workstations are available for use by the Penn Community (requires PennKey authentication) and include access to Microsoft Office, email, ftp, browsers, etc.
Two Conference Rooms with overhead projection, Internet access and word processing applications are available. Five smaller group study rooms are also available. Other Resources Available in Van Pelt Library
- Labs are available for use by the Penn Community (requires PennKey authentication) and include access to Microsoft Office, email, ftp, browsers, and additional software such as statistical and graphics packages.
- Statistical programs, such as SPSS and STATA, are available in the Rosengarten Lab on the Ground floor of VanPelt
- Laptops circulate from the Rosengarten Reserve Desk in the Goldstein Undergraduate Study Center (Van Pelt, Ground Floor) and the Van Pelt Circulation Desk (First Floor). Laptops are available to PennCard holders, they circulate for a 4 hour loan period, utilize the library's wireless network, and have Microsoft Office, browsers, email and ftp clients, and statistical software. - Laptop Connections are located in tabletop ports throughout the libraries for personal laptop connections. See floor plans of the wireless network at the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center.
Penn faculty, students and staff who connect to the Library from off-campus can access restricted resources through the Library's Proxy Server .
