Printing from your Computer | Printing Instructions

In order to print to Library printers you need to follow these steps:

Download the printer installer for the Library location and type of printer you want to use. You can download and install as many as you'd like. Some files are large and it is recommended you only download them if you are connected via a high-speed data connection. You will only need to download and install the printer one time. After installation of the printer package, you'll be able to send your jobs to the printer without repeating this setup process.

Please note: At this time, not all types of printing are supported in every Library. Check back periodically for updates to our service offerings. The VanPelt Library installers work for printers throughout the building including those in the Lippincott and Ormandy Libraries and the Weigle Information Commons.

Install the Printer driver:

Windows

When the download is complete, double-click the package icon to launch the installer. You'll see a box like this when the installer is running.

Please be patient - the installation can take several minutes to complete.

Click Finish to complete the installation.

When complete, you're ready to start sending jobs to the printers.

Mac OS X 10.x

When the download is complete, double-click the package icon; then you'll see something that looks like this:

Double-click on Popup.pkg to initiate the installation; click Continue

The installation process will start to run and may take several minutes to complete. When it's finished you'll see this screen.

Click Close to complete the installation process.

When complete, you're ready to start sending jobs to the printers.

Duplex Printing for Macs

To print duplex on a Mac, first download the single-sided installer for your Library. You must then configure double-sided printing on your computer:

1. Go to System Preferences
2. Printers and Fax
3. Select the Van Pelt printer
4. Driver tab
5. Check off the duplex box.

You should now be able to select the double-sided option when printing normally.
