The table below represents the University of Pennsylvania's "courseweb" - websites providing course-related information ranging from syllabi and course readings to discussion boards. Many sites require PennKey authentication for access to their materials and tools. Blackboard, currently in use by 9 of Penn's 12 schools, represents the most pervasive platform for course sites, and it accounted for approximately 2044 courses in the Fall 2012 term. Blackboard provides secure and easy-to-use tools for publishing course content to the Web and for facilitating communication among course participants.
The services and systems below pertain to the University's credit and degree offering programs. For Penn's free open courses, please see Coursera.
