Instances of censorship. The expurgated area appears in the commentary to Behukotai
(Leviticus 26:3-27:34), in which Arama discusses the fact that the Torah makes no mention of an afterlife,
and disputes the Christian position of eternal life as a reward, and therefore motivator, for one's
deeds.
The censor's mark reads:
"Revisto per me Antonio Francesco Enrique, Alessandria 1688"
("Examined by me, Antonio Francesco Enrique...").
