Roland Hayes himself arranged a number of spirituals for solo voice and piano that were published in a 1948 collection titled My Songs. Among his spiritual settings performed by Marian Anderson was "I Can't Stay Away."This manuscript copy in Ms. Anderson's hand likely dates from the 1920s.
