Rosenbach Museum & Library	Philip Vincent, A True Relation of the late Battell fought in New-England, between the English and the Pequet Salvages... London: Thomas Harper, 1638.
Philip Vincent's account of the attack by Massachusetts soldiers on the Pequot Indians in 1637, and the complete destruction of a Pequot town, justifies Puritan brutality for audiences in England by describing Indian "savagery" and by noting the presence of God on the Puritan side.
