Theorica musice Franchinus Gaffurius, 1451-1522 Theorica musice Milan, 1492 Inc G-6 The Theorica musice is the first of three theoretical works that secured for Gaffurius a principal place in the history of analytical thought about music. A statement of elementary precepts, the work was probably undertaken in conjunction with his lectures at the Gymnasium of Milan in the 1490s.
