Work & Study Spaces in the Math/Physics/Astronomy Library

The Math/Physics/Astronomy Library is located on the 3rd floor (room 3N1) of the David Rittenhouse Laboratory, on the corner of Walnut and 33rd Streets. From the main 33rd Street entrance, take the stairs straight ahead to the third floor. Turn left and go straight through the double-doors. Turn right and the library is approximately halfway down the hall. Click here to see its location on a campus map.

The MPA Seminar Room is reserved for large group activities and formal instruction. Configure the furniture in seminar room, classroom, or conference room layouts. The room can seat up to 30. It includes an 80 inch LCD screen and integrated computer and laptop connections. Students can reserve the room up to one week in advance here.

Study space includes tables, two private study rooms, carrels and lounge seating.

The library has five Dell computer workstations with access to the Internet, library electronic resources, and software including Matlab and Mathematica. At the fifth workstation, patrons can use the color scanner for free.

There is also a look-up station for quick access to Franklin the library online catalog and the Internet.
