New journal backfiles: Animal Behaviour, Brain & Behavioral Sciences, Tetrahedron and Tetrahedron Letters
(05-JUN-12)
The Penn Libraries have added the online backfiles for several prominent journals to its collections. These online backfiles extend our current online holdings for these journals several decades back in time, so that Penn readers - no matter where they are working - may read articles from these journals throughout the journal runs.
Recently-added backfiles now contribute to complete runs of :
- Tetrahedron Letters (1959- ) and Tetrahedron (1957- ).
The two experimental and theoretical organic chemistry journals ranked 2nd and 3rd among the Penn Libraries' "unmet needs," journals with the most unsuccessful fulltext requests via PennText in 2011 and the first half of 2012, owing to unavailability of these online backfiles. - Behavioral and Brain Sciences (1978- ).
B&BS is ranked 1st for Impact Factor and 5-Year Impact Factor among all social science journals (2010 ISI JCR Social Sciences Edition). B&BS is ranked 1st for Impact Factor among behavioral sciences journals and 3rd among neurosciences journals (2010 ISI JCR Science Edition). - Animal Behaviour (1958- ) and its predecessor, British Journal of Animal Behaviour (1953-1957).
The journal of choice for biologists, ethologists, psychologists, physiologists, and veterinarians interested in all aspects of animal behavior, ranked 5th for Impact Factor among all zoology journals (2010 ISI JCR Science Edition). The backfile was acquired in part through support from the Penn Libraries' Clarence J. Marshall Memorial Library Fund.
