The Penn Health Sciences Libraries (Biomedical, Dental, and Veterinary libraries) are seeking students for our Health Sciences Libraries' Interprofessional Student Advisory Group. Join us for conversation and refreshments, and while we ask for your feedback regarding library services, resources, and facilities, we hope you will also gain insight into the academic experience of your peers in the health sciences schools. We are seeking students from the schools of Dental Medicine, Perelman School of Medicine, Nursing, and Veterinary Medicine. A word document is available outlining the groups charge in more detail.
Our next meeting is scheduled for February 3, 2016. Feel free to drop in at 5pm for some pizza. We will meet in the Conference Room located on the main floor of the Biomedical Library. [Campus Map]
The Biomedical Library is fundraising for a renovation! We'll be known as the Biotech Commons, and the renovation will include over 30 group study rooms, a cafe, collaborative spaces as well as quiet study spaces, a collaborative classroom, conference center, a more interactive poster printing and 3D printing operation, and even a large scale visualization wall and immersion theater. And of course, you'll have access to our specialized librarians for consultations regarding database searching, evidence-based healthcare, tools such as EndNote and RefWorks, bioinformatics, etc. etc.!
Come see the architectural drawings of the new space. We would like to hear from YOU as to how you would use our spaces! Your feedback could help with our fundraising and promotional materials.
