Book reading and reception - Dr. Adrian Morrison with illustrations by Gayle Joseph,Thursday, February 21st 11 am-12:30 pm

Please join us for a reception celebrating the publication of Dr. Adrian Morrison's boyhood memoir, "Brandywine Boy," with illustrations by Gayle Joseph.
The event will take place in room 220 of the Hill Pavilion, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, 380 S. University Avenue, Philadelphia, PA on Thursday, February 21st from 11 am - 12:30 pm.
Following a reading of excerpts from the book, please enjoy some light refreshments and a gallery of Gayle's illustrations.

Brandywine Boy is a memoir that describes mid-twentieth century life and events as seen through a boy's eyes. Most of the book centers on the author's experiences on a small farm in the Brandywine Valley of southeastern Pennsylvania. A few copies will be available for sale (and author signing) during the reception for $11 (cash please -includes 5 cents "handling fee" -- to avoid the need to bring nickels).
Dr. Morrison is Professor Emeritus of Behavioral Neuroscience at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, and author of Odyssey with Animals: a Veterinarian's Reflections on the Animal Rights & Welfare Debate.
Gayle Joseph, Executive Assistant in the Office of the Associate Dean for Research, is an oil and watercolor painter whose original illustrations appear on Penn Vet research newsletters and retreat announcements.
