Penn Libraries Partnering in October Kuali OLE Conference in London

The Senate House Libraries in central London is the venue for KDUK13, which brings together leaders in the development of community source software for academic libraries and institutions under the Kuali Foundation.

Michael Winkler, Director of Information Technology & Digital Development at Penn Libraries and a member of the Kuali OLE team, will serve as a panelist for several sessions focusing on such topics as the current status of the software and the implementation timelines for early adopters, as well as a discussion about how different Kuali products (e.g., Kuali Rice, Kuali OLE, Kuali Coeus and Kuali Ready) are being implemented at home institutions.

Conference Co-Chair Andrew Preater from Senate House Libraries says, "This event will bring together those in UK higher education who are focused on open source software in libraries and will provide the community important information about all of the current Kuali Foundation software applications for higher education."

Keynote speakers include Brian D. Voss, Vice-President of Information Technology and CIO at the University of Maryland and Kuali Foundation Board Member; Brenda L. Johnson, Ruth Lilly Dean of University Libraries at Indiana University and Kuali OLE Board Member; and John Robinson, Director of Library and Information Services at SOAS-University of London and Kuali OLE Board Member.

Additional sponsors of the event are the Kuali Foundation and the Bloomsbury Library Management System Consortium. Corporate sponsors for the event include EBSCO Publishing, HTC Global Services, Inc., and K-Int. (Knowledge Integration).
