Engineering Library Closes Its Doors

As of today, May 20, the Engineering Library facility is now permanently closed in order to transfer the physcial space back to the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Please bear with us as we adjust our services and access to collections this summer as a result of these changed circumstances. Please direct any inquiries to Doug McGee.

Some Immediate Information Regarding Our Services and Collections:

- Research and Instruction support IS still available! Please contact Doug McGee at or 215-898-8170 for assistance.

- All collection access and document delivery services provided by this facility are no longer available.

- Books currently checked out from this location may be returned via the Engineering Library book drop until JUNE 6, 2014. After June 6, all materials must be returned to Van Pelt Library.

- Books currently checked out may be renewed online via the Franklin Online Catalog, or at other Penn Libraries facilities.

- Nearby facilities available with study space include the Chemistry Library, Education Commons, Math/Physics/Astronomy Library, Fine Arts Library, and the Van Pelt Dietrich Library Center.

- Course reserves will be relocated to Van Pelt Reserves in the Rosengarten Study Center in the Fall.

- The majority of the Engineering Library's print collection has been relocated to LIBRA, our remote storage facility. All items are available for delivery back to campus upon request via Franklin Online Catalog. The remainder of the collection will be integrated into the Van Pelt Library collection.
