New York Times TimesSelect content available for Penn Community

Many readers have noticed that the New York Times is no longer offering the full content of its newspaper for free on the web. Instead, they have introduced TimesSelect, which requires that readers are subscribers of the print edition of the New York Times. While the New York Times is not offering an institutional subscription to TimesSelect, the full content of New York Times articles is available through the Penn Library at no additional cost to Penn readers.
Solution: When you see an article on the New York Times website that you would like to read, do not search for the title in LexisNexis or Factiva. Instead, search for the author's name, and the date of publication.
Problem: Articles from the International Herald Tribune are offered through TimesSelect, though they do not appear in the printed or online editions of the New York Times.
Solution When you see an article offered through TimesSelect, take note if the source is the International Herald Tribune. International Herald Tribune articles are available through Factiva on the day they are published, and through LexisNexis one day later.
Full text of all New York Times articles is available through Factiva and LexisNexis. However, you may run into the following problems when trying to locate articles that are included on the TimesSelect website:
