Vet Library Demo: Saving Search Strategies
(09-MAY-03)
The Veterinary Library is offering several one hour demos that describe step-by-step how you can save your database search strategies as well as store your search results using EndNote or Reference Manager.
Bring your lunch if you like; dessert will be provided.
Topics discussed at each session will include:
- Setting up an "Auto Alert" search using OVID (MEDLINE, CAB, etc). Your searches will be executed automatically on a weekly or monthly basis, with results sent to you as an email message. Or, you can choose to re-execute the search at a later date.
- Saving a search strategy in PubMed & ISI Citation Index and then re-executing at a later date.
- Automatically uploading citations retrieved from OVID, PubMed, & ISI into EndNote or Reference Manager. (Note: the session will not focus on the mechanics of EndNote or Reference Manager, but rather how to upload your citations to those packages.)
