For those who are not familiar with the Faculty of 1000 series, it is a literature evaluation and awareness service. Based on the recommendations of selected faculty world-wide, pertinent papers in Biology and Medicine are identified and evaluated. A peer reviewed rating is used to highlight papers with significant scientific merit regardless of which journal the paper was published in.
