2006 General Election Day Exit Polls data
(09-APR-07)

The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research has announced the deposit of the 2006 General Election Day Exit Polls microdata in RoperExpress, its data download service.

The 2006 General Election Day Exit Polls are available for the nation and for 32 individual states. The national survey asked questions on election issues, including the respondent's Congressional vote, perceptions of George Bush and the Bush Administration, views on the war in Iraq, economic and personal financial situation and immigration. The state surveys add questions on local races and referenda where applicable. All surveys include demographic variables.

RoperExpress provides for each survey several files: data sets in ASCII text and SPSS-portable formats, PDF-format codebooks, and PDF-format data tables and frequencies reports.

The 2006 General Election Day Exit Polls are the most recent in a long series of exit poll data sets archived by the Roper Center. Earlier national exit poll data sets, beginning with 1972, are available from the Roper Center's National Election Day Exit Polls (1972-2006) web page.
