The Oxford Classical Dictionary is Online
The current (1996) edition of the Oxford Classical Dictionary edited by Simon Hornblower and Antony Spawforth is now online and available to the Penn community from home or office. In addition to standard lookups, you can search the entire dictionary with any word or name, e.g. climate (48 occurrences), Ostwald (26 occurrences), sophrosyne (no entry of its own, but 5 occurrences), or even a word like probably (999 occurrences) if you are interested in scholarly uncertainty. You can always get to it by typing oxford classical into the E-Resource Locator box at the upper left corner of the Library's homepage.
