ISC has implemented instant PennKey authorization for use of the VanPelt-Dietrich Library wireless network. Rather than registering a wireless card MAC address, wireless users need only launch an internet browser, which will then prompt for PennKey logon. Launch of a browser will be necessary for all internet connectivity, including telent and ftp, Successful authentication will allow use of the library wireless network for approximately 1 hour, depending on periods of inactivity. It is possible to reauthenticate a connection as needed. A map of the Van Pelt-Dietrich wireless network can be found on the building floorplan.
