These shifts align with the Libraries' goal to ease congestion and rationalize the arrangement of collections in the open stacks and are integral to construction of the Special Collections Center and to strategic planning for the building for the coming decade. Together, these efforts will help the Libraries to reshape collections and services for new methods of research and teaching, and preserve knowledge for future generations.
For more information on construction of the Special Collections Center and its impact on building services and collections see the full news release published in December 2010.
