With generous financial assistance from Professor Richard Berk in the Jerry Lee Center of Criminology and from the Population Studies Center, the Penn Libraries now offer online access to the Encyclopedia of Statistical Sciences.
The Encyclopedia of Statistical Sciences, 2nd edition (2006), published in 16 volumes by Wiley-Interscience, is the principal reference work on mathematical statistics. The online version provides full content of the 2nd edition (2006) with ongoing updates, and the 1st edition (1983) with all supplemental volumes.
The online Encyclopedia of Statistical Sciences presents each article in HTML and searchable PDF formats. In HTML format, statistical formulas are presented as GIF images; PDF-format formulas may be copied and pasted as Roman characters. DOI URLs are provided for direct linking to individual articles. Direct PennText reference linking from the online version to fulltext journal articles is not fully supported.
