World Bank Africa Development Indicators is the best one-stop data source on the African economy. ADI Online presents statistical information for more than 1,000 indicators, with time series starting at 1965.

Subjects covered by ADI Online include:

• Basic indicators and national accounts: balance of payments, debt, prices, money, and government finances.
• Development outcomes: population, trade, human development, infrastructure, governance, labor, migration, private sector development, agriculture and rural development, HIV/AIDS and malaria, and drivers of growth.
• Millenium Development Goals: population growth and health, human development, infrastructure and environment.

ADI Online provides data on 53 African countries, and aggregates data for the whole continent, sub-Saharan Africa, sub-Saharan Africa excluding South Africa and excluding South Africa and Nigeria, and North Africa.

ADI Online joins the Penn Library Web's suite of World Bank interactive data sets, World Development Indicators and Global Development Finance. The World Bank data platform offers easy tools for generating tables, charts, and choropleth maps depicting indicators, and provides downloading in MS Excel and comma-delimited ASCII text CSV formats.
