SSRN fee-based subject matter e-journals - service restored!
(21-OCT-09)

The Penn Libraries have reactivated our subscription to SSRN - Social Sciences Research Network, taking effect on during the weekend of November 7, 2009. We apologize for disruption in service Penn subscribers to SSRN's fee-based subject matter e-journals experienced during the two weeks preceding reactivation.

What in SSRN is available to me?

SSRN content is FREE. All SSRN site visitors have access to these FREE SSRN components:

  • Fulltext working papers and other documents in the SSRN eLibrary, through viewing or downloading.
  • Author pages and author statistics.
  • Document uploading.
  • "Free" subject matter e-journal subscriptions.
These SSRN components are FREE. For author pages, uploading, and the "Free" subject matter e-journal subscriptions, you will need to register as an individual SSRN user.

Access to SSRN's fee-based subject matter e-journals - that is, e-mail notification services for recently uploaded SSRN content - has been restored through the Penn Libraries' subscription reactiviation. SSRN tells us that registered Penn readers' pre-existing fee-based subject matter journal selections should be delivering e-mails now.

Who can I talk to about this?

We want to hear what you think. RePEc, SSRN, and similar services are important to Penn readers - they document the advancing research front Penn researchers garrison. We want to know how you learn about new research, and also how you share your own research. We want to help you place your research documents in visible places.
