Professor Janet Theophano, curator of the exhibition, Household Words: Women Write From and For the Kitchen, spoke about the context of the cookbooks from a social and historical perspective. She discussed her ongoing interest in cookbooks as historical documents, and how she came to view the Aresty collection through that prism.
