James A. Crawford, C'26, left a generous bequest to the University of Pennsylvania Library for the purchase of books, journals, manuscripts, and other materials. Unrestricted funds such as this permit the Library to acquire materials not only in new fields, but in new formats. In 1926 the Library meant books, today it also means E-Books, and by 2026 - the Crawford Fund will be there to help the Library acquire the very latest.

A loyal Pennsylvanian, Mr. Crawford was a dedicated member of the Class of 1926, and through his generosity we remember them - as forecast in their freshman ode:
