The Van Pelt-Dietrich Library was just a glint in an architect's eye in the 1953 yearbook. For its 40th reunion, the Class of 1953 contributed to the renovation of the interior space of the building that became a reality in 1962.
The 40th reunion gift of the Class of 1953 provided a Group Study Suite in the Lippincott Library of The Wharton School on the second floor of Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center. The group study rooms, which are available to all Penn students, offer an environment for the kind of collaborative learning that is essential to 21st century scholarship. The Class also created the Class of 1953 Library Endowment Fund to memorialize individual classmates. More Class of 1953 Pages |
