Shown here, a section of the new Information Processing Center.
The Information Processing Center (IPC) currently employs over 50 people and scores of high-end computers to acquire, process, and catalog all of the material that replenishes the Library's store of knowledge: journals, books, magazines, newspapers, microform, and CD-ROM electronic reference tools.
In May 1997, the Center moved to an entirely redesigned space on the first floor of the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center. This re-designed and enhanced facility serves as the chief gateway for materials that replenish and expand the informational resources for the scholarly community at Penn.
