Student Book-Collecting Contest

 

The University of Pennsylvania Libraries invites young collectors
to enter the Kislak Family Student Book Collecting Contest.
Your collection could win you one of three cash prizes:

1st Prize $2,500.00
2nd Prize $1,500.00
3rd Prize $1,000.00

Deadline: February 28, 2010
With the encouragement of and financial support from the Kislak Family, the University of Pennsylvania Libraries is pleased to announce the launch of the Kislak Family Student Book Collecting Competition. The purpose of the Competition is to encourage and reward full time Penn students, under the age of thirty who have an interest in and passion for book collecting. For purposes of this Competition, the book is broadly defined to include a wide range of genres, ranging from antiquarian books through modern first editions, comics, graphic novels, and literary magazines or zines (see rules for more examples).

Winners will be notified by March 15, 2010. Winners will be announced at the annual A.S.W. Rosenbach Lecture Series which takes place on March 23-25, 2010. The winning entry may be published by the Penn Libraries.
