Kitāb al-Madāris
The image at left comes from the title page of Kitāb al-Madāris (كتاب المدارس) ("Book of Studies"), a Samaritan catechism in the form of question and answer (سوال and جواب) covering the ritual practices and ceremonial usages of the Samaritan community. This work was composed by Pinḥas ben Isaac, and, according to the colophon, copied in 1330 [AH =1912] by Isaac ben Benjamin of Jerusalem.
The goblet form on this page is contained by a second title in Samaritan Hebrew, as follows: מכתב המדרש לתלמוד הנערים הזכרים רחמות אלה על אמורו ומתבו אמן.
