Alyssa serves as technical lead for the main Penn Libraries website. She develops and oversees progressive feature enhancements to the site while training library staff on its functionality and serving as a resource regarding its technical capabilities to colleagues planning upcoming projects. Alyssa is also a member of the teams developing Apotheca, the administrative end of the library's digital repository Colenda, and the upcoming refresh of the library's catalog.

Prior to joining the Penn Libraries, Alyssa was the Web and Media Specialist at the University Archives & Records Center of the University of Pennsylvania where she designed and developed the websites of the Archives & Records Center and the West Philadelphia Community History Center, established the Archives' social media presence, carried out high resolution reproduction requests, and assisted in several migrations of the Archives' finding aid and digital image collections. Upon the Archives' integration into the Penn Libraries, she executed the merger of the library's Penn Rare and Unique at Penn blogs into a single redesigned Unique at Penn.
