Access to the College Green area of campus will be restricted until further notice. Current students, faculty and staff with a valid Penn card may enter and exit Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center through the Rosengarten Undergraduate Study Center on the ground floor, and may enter and exit the Fisher Fine Arts Library through the 34th Street entrance to Meyerson Hall

Tessa has expertise in the long-term care of books, manuscripts, archival materials, photographs, and more. She is also an accomplished advocate for conservation and preservation, and joins the Margy E. Meyerson Head of Conservation for outreach efforts.

Before coming to the Penn Libraries, Tessa was Book & Paper Conservator at the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) in Philadelphia, where she worked with institutional and private clients. She has a wealth of conservation experience from previous appointments at Dartmouth College Library, the Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian Institution Archives.

Tessa is a graduate of the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, where she specialized in library and archival materials. During her graduate studies she also received a Certificate of Advanced Study in Preservation from the Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science. As an undergraduate at the University of Delaware she double majored in Art Conservation and Art History and minored in Chemistry.
