Pythagoras in the Italian Quattrocento

Using LJS 438, a late 15th -century collection of Greek philosophical works into Latin, as a starting point, Dr. Corrias will examine the rich and complex legacy of late ancient Platonism in the preservation, transmission, and transformation of ancient philosophical texts, especially Plato’s dialogues and the works traditionally attributed to Pythagoras and the Pythagoreans.
