Courtney works closely with the Office of the Vice Provost and Director of Libraries, the Advancement Team, and Penn’s Development and Alumni Relations Division. She produces effective communications for Penn Libraries strategic priorities and fundraising goals across leadership- and development-communications platforms, including major gift-level funding proposals, cultivation and solicitation materials, case and program materials for new initiatives, senior leadership presentations, and stewardship communications.

Before she joined the Penn Libraries, Courtney was Assistant Vice President, Director of Proposals at Sotheby’s. In this role, she provided strategic editorial oversight and managed day-to-day operations for a team of writers responsible for developing impactful materials to persuade art owners to sell with Sotheby’s.

Courtney has a bachelor's degree from Yale University, where she majored in English.
