Reporting to the Vice Provost and Director of Penn Libraries, Richard provides a broad range of professional and confidential functions in support of the Vice Provost and members of the Libraries’ Senior Staff, as well as working closely with the Libraries’ Administrative Council, the Development team, and representatives of national libraries organizations.

Before coming to the Penn Libraries, Richard spent 14 years at Penn working for the Advancement Office of Penn Arts and Sciences, where most recently he supported development activities across a range of international markets. Prior to Penn he worked for Indiana University at the Eskenazi Museum of Art (formerly the Indiana University Art Museum) as Assistant to the Director, where he coordinated the Director’s Office and served as the liaison between the Director and the various museum departments.

In addition, Richard has a long history of working in libraries with stints in serials acquisitions and pre-cataloguing at the North Carolina State University Library System; interlibrary loan, reference, and acquisitions at the Environmental Protection Agency Library in Cincinnati, Ohio, and as a clerk at the county law library in Lake County, Ohio.
