Services: Course-related Library Instruction
What it is:
Penn Librarians offer a variety of course-related instructional services. Working with faculty and teaching instructors, librarians can design in-person or online sessions tailored to the needs of a class. Content may include demonstrating important resources like the library catalog, navigating appropriate disciplinary resources, developing effective search strategies, evaluating sources, and managing and citing references. If class time is at a minimum, librarians can also drop by a class to introduce themselves and give a brief overview of library resources and services. Also, librarians can also make online course-specific or subject-based guides that curate a subset of resources appropriate for a particular class. If you are interested in course-specific instruction, please contact your subject librarian.
