Penn Libraries offers a variety of services for faculty and students. We provide instruction to classes, on-demand workshops, instructional design support, and a variety of spaces and technologies to help students as they become researchers, knowledge producers, and information literate citizens.

Digital Scholarship

Map Rooms are one example of using GIS technology to transform learning. Our Digital Scholarship group provides a range of services that expand the capacity of researchers at Penn to create and share new kinds of scholarship.

Library Lounge prepares students to excel as researchers. From custom tutorials to instructional design, we offer a range of services to help faculty teach and students learn.

Access to technology

Tinkerlab is a space for makers to teach, learn, and create. Across the libraries, we lend a range of equipment, from microphones to robotics kits, and provide access to hardware and software, from GIS software to 3D-printers to a green-screen-equipped studio.

Each of our libraries offers unique spaces for teaching and learning, from active-learning spaces like the Collaborative Classroom to quiet study spaces in the Penn Museum Library.
