Featured 3D Print: 3D Pollen Project
Archeologists and Anthropologists use 3D data in various ways through GIS data and other advanced image processing.
Postdoctoral Fellow Austin Chad Hill from the Penn Paleoecology Lab has been building a reference collection of pollen grains for use in teaching pollen analysis. Students can hold the 3D printed model in their hands to help them identify what they are seeing under the microscope.
