Coral's role is to archive the aesthetically rich and complex digital content and capture the web-based social practices that pertain to the art historical record. She explores preservation issues surrounding born-digital art, taking into account the fragility and variability of these system-dependent works.
Coral is a Pratt Institute MLIS grad from Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Before coming to Penn she worked at the Frick Collection as an NYARC Web Archiving Fellow. She also spent time at the Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College where she worked with digitized and born-digital content to create the first digital archive dedicated to the Puerto Rican diaspora.
