
Ene Belleh
Ene is the Clinical Information Librarian at Penn Medicine – Pennsylvania Hospital. She provides Evidence-Based support for patient care, clinical research and nursing research which is achieved through direct collaboration with clinical staff. She supports research and education through reference and instruction service and conducts teaching sessions on searching techniques, library resources and services. Ene is also responsible for the collection development and interlibrary loan service. She serves as Chair for PAH Library Committee where she oversees the Spotlight on Scholars Project.
In 2010, Ene was named Rising Star for the Hospital Library Section of MLA and also received the HLS 2017 Award for Leadership. She became a Distinguished member with the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) in 2018.
Ene served as the Chair, Awards and Travel Grant Committee – Hospital Library Section (MLA), and currently serves as Chair – Medial Library Education Section (MLA) and Chair, Membership Committee – MLA Philadelphia Regional Chapter.
She is a published author and participates in poster/paper presentations at both regional and national Medical Library Association meetings.
From 2008-2009, Ene served as mentor for the What in the World program where she mentored middle school students on Career Day about the medical librarianship profession.
Ene holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from Fort Valley State University, an MLS from the University at Buffalo (SUNY) and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Before joining Pennsylvania Hospital in 2017, Ene worked at Christiana Care Hospital (2007-2017) in Newark, DE. where she served as the Evidence-Based Clinical Librarian with a focus on reference and instruction service.
