Eva collaborates across the library system on construction projects and facilities planning, and she serves as the Libraries liaison with Facilities and Real Estate Services and the University Architect's office on capital project planning and management. She is currently engaged in design, development, or construction of several capital projects, including the Biotech Commons; the Fisher Fine Arts Materials Library/Common Press space; the Century Bond HVAC project in the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center; and shelving and HVAC work in LIBRA.
Eva started her career as an architect at Venturi, Scott, Brown and Associates working on such projects as Penn's Roy & Diana Vagelos Laboratories (home of our Chemistry Library), the renovation of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and the Woodmere Art Museum addition. After VSBA, Eva joined Ballinger in 2005 as a Senior Associate and later as an Associate Principal. She was instrumental on several critical projects that include the renovations and addition to the Wistar Institute, the Barnes Museum, Carl Fields Center for Equality + Cultural Understanding at Princeton University and interior updates for the Cornell Library at Swarthmore. Eva earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and is certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional.
