

Jade leads a team committed to strategic technological innovation and operations for teaching, learning, and instructional design at the Penn Libraries. Her team is responsible for the educational technology and learning management services of the Penn Libraries including campus-wide courseware management, learning innovation and instruction, two learning commons and a digital media lab. She coordinates the implementation and assessment of programs and services that support the University’s pedagogy and course offerings by promoting the use of current and emerging technologies across classroom, online, and other learning environments that enhance the teaching mission of the University.
Jade came to Penn from Columbia University Libraries, where she established the Digital Project Management unit as its first Director. Prior to her role at Columbia she was the Program Director for ePortfolio and Digital Initiatives at LaGuardia Community College CUNY.
Jade is a media ecologist by training, and holds a doctorate in Communication Studies with a Focus on Digital Media and Culture from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
