Get Enhanced Access to Sidestone Press Open Access Archaeology Monographs and Journals

Book titled "Bronze And and Beyond" resting on a stack of books.

In our continuing efforts to support academic publishers, scholarly societies, and cultural heritage organizations that are seeking sustainable models for Open Access scholarship, the Penn Libraries has become a subscribing member to the Sidestone Press Library Program.

This independent, scholar-led press is responsible for a growing number of series by European societies and museums, including Palma (Proceedings of the National Museum of Antiquities, Netherlands, also known as Papers on Archaeology of the Leiden Museum of Antiquities), Ruralia (an international association for medieval and post-medieval archaeology of settlement and rural life), Taboui (Caribbean Archaeology Series), Analecta Praehistorica Leidensia, Mededelingen van het Rijksmuseum voor Volkenkunde (the official publication of the Dutch National Museum of Ethnology), Leiden Journal of Pottery Studies, RMO Exhibitions (an annual series of wider public books for the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities), and Pacific Presences, among others.

This membership comes with the benefit of not only being able to read the publicly available scholarship online, but also to download Sidestone Press books or journal volumes in PDF format. Individual records for Sidestone Press online titles will appear in the Franklin Catalog. To learn more, contact Deborah Stewart, Head, Penn Museum Library.
