The reading period/exam access policy for the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center and the Fisher Fine Arts Library will be in effect December 10 – 19, 2019.

Access to VPDLC and FFAL during this period is limited to individuals who hold one of the following credentials:

  • A PennCard
  • A photo ID from the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS), HUP, CHOP, Pennsylvania, or Presbyterian hospitals, or UPHS affiliate.
  • A Penn Alumni Card
  • A Library Courtesy Card

Reading period/exam access is also in effect at Biddle Law Library during the same time period. Access is limited to Penn Law students, University of Pennsylvania faculty, alumni, and members of the bar. During the reading period/exam access period, other Penn students may contact libraryaccess@law.upenn.edu to request access to use the law library collection for research.

Exceptions will be made for visitors (non-Penn affiliates) who make prior arrangements with a staff member. Included in this category are patrons who will be using materials in the Kislak Center. A visitor pass, which will be held at the guard desk, should be completed in advance.
