Alexandrea leads ongoing initiatives for information literacy and she develops innovative and effective programs in collaboration with library colleagues and in coordination with partner offices across campus. She works with colleagues across the libraries to develop the Libraries' annual programming around new student orientation, the Prefreshman Program, and the first- and second-year experiences. She takes the lead on our participation in the Critical Writing Program, and is instrumental in managing the live chat and online ticket programs. Alexandrea provides support for the Libraries’ collaborations with the Penn First Plus program and creates opportunities to collaborate with Penn’s Cultural Centers to offer opportunities for student learning and success.

Alexandrea joined Penn Libraries from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where she was Student Success Librarian, contributing to campus-wide student orientation activities, managing the Undergraduate Library Advisors, and building cross campus partnerships. She has held other positions, including Susquehanna University's Diversity Resident for Research and Instruction, and a Cengage practicum, where she worked with large data sets to do quantitative data analysis.
